ATC Mini Booklet Holder Tutorial

Supplies to complete one Mini Holder with ATC backs:

(1) 12 x 12" sheet of double sided paper ~sample used retired Stampin'Up! DSP

(1) 8.5 X11" cover stock for eight ATC backs ~sample used River Rock retired SU.

Score the 12 x 12 paper at 3, 6, 9 and 12 " fold to indicate the lines and unfold.
Rotate paper and score at the centre (6" mark) and again at either edge 2" (this fold will become the ATC holder pocket)
Fold from the left shown here at 2" with the ruler for the placement of slit @ 9"
Mark from either end at the 9" mark and cut slit as shown.
Fold entire section over to the left as shown. The section at the top area (remaining section that was not cut) becomes the joining pocket. This photo shows the joining area.
I used a strong double stick adhesive in a narrow strip so as to keep the pocket opening free and clear for the ATC's below shows the area for adhesive when you are creating the join for the accordian strip.

For ATC pockets: Cut a 3.5" x 11" strip, twice from the cardstock. Turn and cut into 2.5" lengths which yields 8 ATC pieces to fit into your pockets. Decorate with ATC's or special photos & momento's.

enjoy,
gabrielle

SU Fall-Winter Catalogue Launch Party Project!

We are expecting a full evening of fun and inspiration...this is the project planned so far ;o} (not exactly as shown) I will probably use a roller that isn't on the current Retired List so as not to tease you.....but I can't promise about the ribbon! I just adore the softness of the River Rock and I had two more spools come in today! I have plans for card kits....I just checked the Retired Accessories List and it's still available!

To Tease You! Beautiful Bella Paper

Hi Everyone ~ I am sharing this card idea I worked up today (I purchased an instruction sheet from this SU demonstrator Aly Schilling) and changed up the colors and the design a little to use the new Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss and one of the new papers from the Bella Rose DSP to share with all of you for a stamping get-together workshop.

More Scallop Card Fun!

Same little card, this time with Tangerine Tango ~ it's gorgeous! I used my new spool of River Rock (the only colour not sold out) go figure, I love it, kind of taupe coloured. Stamp set Bloomin Beautiful EDIT to SAY! it is in the new catty!!(no longer available) I used the Very Vanilla Craft Ink again. It's still a bit finicky but worth the effort to get it perfect. The little flowers are from the Boho Punch & stamped with the One Of A Kind stamps.

HB! New Colours!! New Punch !

So to begin: I cut a 3 x 8" length of Pink Pirouette , scored at the 4" mark and using a bone folder created my base card.
With the new scallop edged punch I centered one of the 3" ends in the punch. (there are very nice alignment markings along the entire edge) I then moved the punch to the opposite edge and completed the end punch and again for the opposite side. This leaves a perfectly centered, scalloped edge! Using the Riding Hood Red ink I stamped the Happy Birthday greeting ('It's Your Birthday' retiring on August 10) on a small piece of Very Vanilla (beautiful clean results everytime). I then stamped two sets of the 'One Of A Kind' flowers. These were punched out with the Boho Blossoms punch (it fits the flowers perfectly)! Using a sponge dauber I inked the outside edges of the verse after trimming with decorative scissors.
Using snail adhesive the verse was placed off centre and attached to the card. an option would be to use small brads at the four corners to give an additional 'framed' look. Using a round red brad 'Fire Circles' I placed this through the largest flower. I like to hammer the backing to flatten it and I always cushion the brad to protect it and my surface! The flowers adhered to 3d foam and mounted as shown.

for the inside of the card I cut a piece of white linen paper 2 3/4 x 3 1/2" with a torn decorative edge. I stamped the very cute HB as you can see and attached on the inside of the card with snail.

Detail of photo anchor placement

Back view of card with an extra flower to cover the brad from the back of the photo anchor and a stamped HM from the Art by Design collection. This was such a fun project and I initially roughed up the scalloped edge card so that I could mount an ATC to the front.....but it is a great size and the possibilities are endless ~ I'm thinking about tall single flowers, gold embossing, cute Christmas trees.......lol!

My first play with two of the new colours! They are simply gorgeous!

Amazing! the best design

Gayle saw a card here earlier today and this is the design we worked up this evening using a Carousel note, some Whisper white cardstock, DSP (Gayle it means Designer Series Paper, lol!), Blue Bayou and Groovy Guava inks, Very Vanilla Tafetta ribbon, clear diamond brads and dazzling diamond glitter. Oh yeah and Tombow glue & snail adhesive, lol! We used the Fresh Cuts stamp set and a butterfly from the Live Your Dream set.

What to Do With Carousel Notes!

A typo in here: the Vanilla circle should read about 4 1/2" not 4"......have fun!
